SOLAS VGM EXPERTISE

The International Maritime Organization (IMO), in collaboration with industry stakeholders, introduced the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) requirement under the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention to combat the risks of inaccurate container weight declarations.

Despite its implementation in 2016, the shipping and port industries still grapple with high rates of mis-declared containers, often resulting in accidents both at sea and on land.

At Optiflow, we bring deep expertise in SOLAS VGM regulations, their implementation, and the consequences of non-compliance. We offer tailored consulting services to:

  • Help liner carriers meet SOLAS VGM objectives.
  • Equip container terminals with strategies to mitigate the risks of overweight containers.

Our goal is to enhance safety, reduce operational disruptions, and ensure seamless compliance across the supply chain.
